The much-anticipated sequel to the 2007 hit film Life in a… Metro is finally here. Titled “Metro In Dino,” this new film continues the anthology-style storytelling that captured audiences nearly two decades ago. Directed once again by Anurag Basu, the film features multiple emotional stories woven into one cinematic experience.
Teaser of “Jamana Lage” Song Released
Ahead of the film’s trailer, the teaser of its song “Jamana Lage” was released on May 24, 2025. The full version of the song is scheduled for release on May 28, 2025.
Composed by the popular music director Pritam, this soulful track is sung by Arijit Singh and Shashwat Singh. As expected, Arijit’s voice brings deep emotion and intensity, reminding listeners of his past hits. His performance once again proves why he remains one of the most loved playback singers in Bollywood.

The music rights are owned by T-Series, and the song will be officially launched on their YouTube channel.
A Powerful Star Cast
The teaser of Jamana Lage gives us a glimpse of the film’s impressive ensemble cast. Actors like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, and Saswata Chatterjee are all part of this project.
Bringing together such a large and talented group of artists is the result of the hard work by director Anurag Basu and producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, and Tani Basu.
What is the Anthology Format?
Metro In Dino follows the anthology concept, where multiple short stories are told within a single film. These stories may or may not connect with one another, but they share a central theme.
Bollywood has explored this format before in popular films like “Ajeeb Daastaans” (2021) and “Lust Stories” (2018). In Metro In Dino, the audience will experience four different stories focused on modern-day relationships, exploring themes of love, struggle, and connection in today’s urban life.

With the release of the Jamana Lage promo, the makers have also confirmed the release date of the film. Metro In Dino will be released worldwide on July 4, 2025.
