On May 25, a threatening message was sent to the official phone number of Bantai Records. The message claimed to be from gangster Goldy Brar, who is linked to several criminal groups. It reportedly said:

“I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. We want ₹1 crore. If not, we will finish him. Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi group, gangster Lon group, gangster Rohit Godara.”

The threat created panic among Emiway’s team, especially because it directly mentioned potential harm if the money wasn’t paid.


Police Begin Investigation

As soon as the message was received, the manager of Bantai Records informed Emiway and went straight to the NRI Police Station to file a formal complaint. The police registered a case against an unknown individual and started an investigation to trace the sender.

A senior officer from the NRI Coastal Police Station confirmed that the case is being taken seriously. The Mumbai Crime Branch has also launched its own parallel investigation to track down those responsible and ensure Emiway’s safety.
