Storyline

At the center of the story is Bijorn, a lawyer who becomes overwhelmed by stress from his demanding job. In an effort to regain his peace of mind and refocus on his career, he joins a mindfulness therapy agency that offers unique techniques to help people escape mental tension. During one of these therapy sessions, he meets Dragon Sergovic, with whom he forms a close friendship. But there’s a twist—Bijorn discovers that Dragon is actually a gangster, and the story takes a dark turn when an accidental incident leads to Dragon’s death at Bijorn’s hands.

The rest of the show focuses on Bijorn’s struggle to protect himself and avoid prison. Will he manage to escape the consequences of this accidental crime, or will he face time behind bars? You’ll have to watch the series on Netflix to find out.

Shortcomings

The show has several flaws. Firstly, it attempts to combine comedy and suspense but fails to fully succeed at either. The episodes feel dragged out, and the story might have been more engaging if it had been condensed to five episodes. Additionally, the character development lacks depth, leaving some characters unexplored.

Strengths

On the bright side, the show’s star cast does an excellent job, bringing their roles to life without any complaints. The background music and camera angles add to the show’s atmosphere, and the cinematography, especially the outdoor scenes, is visually impressive. The show’s production quality, as expected from a Netflix production, is high, adding a polished look.

Final Verdict

If you enjoy longer Netflix shows with a mix of light comedy and suspense, Murder Mindfully is worth a try. But don’t expect too much—it’s more of a one-time watch with moderate entertainment value. We give this show a 2.5 out of 5 stars.
