He made headlines worldwide when he fled India in 2019 amidst serious allegations of rape and sexual abuse at his ashram. After escaping the country, Nithyananda claimed to have created a new country called ‘Kailasa’, or the ‘United States of Kailasa’, which he described as the only sovereign Hindu nation in the world.

According to several Tamil news outlets, reports surfaced recently claiming that Nithyananda passed away two days ago. However, the details surrounding his alleged death remain unclear, and there is no official statement confirming the news.
Adding to the confusion, Sundareswaran, Nithyananda’s nephew, released a video last Sunday. In this video, he stated that Nithyananda had “sacrificed his life to protect Hindu Dharma.” This has only fueled more speculation and mystery surrounding the godman’s whereabouts and condition.
The Mystery of Kailasa
After fleeing India in 2019, Nithyananda claimed that he had established a new Hindu nation, Kailasa, where he issued passports, citizenship, and currency. However, many believe that Kailasa is a scam and does not exist as a real sovereign nation.
