The new web series Rishton Ka Chakravyuh premiered on September 3, 2025, on Hungama OTT. The show has 6 episodes, each running between 30 to 32 minutes. Hungama is usually known for its bold content, but this time the platform has tried something different — and the experiment works well.
Although there are a few erotic scenes, they are not intense enough to put the series into the adult category. Instead, the makers have balanced drama, suspense, and emotions to create a strong narrative.
Cast and Characters
The series features a talented ensemble including Gulki Joshi, Naveen Bole, Saqib Ayub, Rahul Sudhir, Rahat Shah Kazmi, Devansh Bhardwaj, Tahir Ashraf, and Shoaib Nikash Shah.
Gulki Joshi plays Malti, the central character, while Rahul Sudhir and Saqib Ayub appear as powerful villains. Each actor brings depth to their roles, making the drama more convincing.
Storyline
The story begins in Mumbai, where Malti (Gulki Joshi) seduces a wealthy businessman and burns all his money. From here, the narrative shifts to her past, where she is seen living happily with her husband Ravi.
Ravi works for a finance company that secretly runs a hawala money laundering business. He is responsible for maintaining accounts worth crores. When a truck carrying the company’s black money goes missing, Ravi is accused of theft.
The company bosses, Hansmukh (Saqib Ayub) and Viren (Rahul Sudhir), frame Ravi and send him to jail. With their wealth and influence, no lawyer is willing to take his case. Malti, heartbroken and desperate, begins a fight to clear her husband’s name.
During this journey, Malti meets Monica, who runs an escort agency. Initially, Malti struggles to fit into this world, but later she hatches a plan with Monica to recover the missing truck and a crucial pen drive that holds proof.
Their mission becomes more dangerous when Malti kidnaps Hiren, one of the gang members, after he discovers her identity. With Monica and later a police inspector named Roy joining the plan, Malti disguises herself to infiltrate the Mehta brothers’ mansion.
She enters their world during a lavish party, introduced by film producer Manik, and slowly gains the trust of the brothers. The suspense builds as she gets closer to the evidence that can save Ravi.
Strengths of the Series
- High production quality with well-shot locations and engaging cinematography.
- Strong performances, especially from Saqib Ayub (previously seen in Thugs of Hindostan and Sam Bahadur) and Rahul Sudhir (known for Khali Peeli and several web series).
- The execution is tight, and the series keeps viewers engaged till the very end.
- At just 6 episodes, it gives the experience of a complete film in less time.
Weaknesses of the Series
- Malti’s quick entry into the Mehta brothers’ home feels unrealistic and rushed.
- The inclusion of erotic scenes reduces its reach among family audiences. These scenes could have been avoided as they add little to the plot.
Final Verdict
Rishton Ka Chakravyuh is a thrilling mix of action, suspense, and emotional drama. While it has some flaws, the strong performances and fast-paced storytelling make it a solid watch.
If you enjoy crime thrillers with a family connection, this web series is worth your time. However, it is best enjoyed without family due to a few bold scenes.
