The OTT platform Jio Hotstar is back with a brand-new supernatural thriller called Touch Me Not. Following the success of their superhero-themed show Power of 5, which has already released 49 episodes, Jio Hotstar has now premiered Touch Me Not on April 5, 2025. This show follows a similar supernatural concept, but with a fresh storyline that focuses on crime and thriller elements.

The series is inspired by the 2019 Korean drama He Is Psychometric, which was later adapted in Telugu and also released in Hindi. The story of Touch Me Not begins in a residential building called Maruti Apartments, where several families live together. One day, the door of one house is knocked on, and when the door is opened, a woman is stabbed. This brutal act is carried out by a clever killer who kills all three women in the house. The killer doesn’t stop there—he sets the entire building on fire, causing the death of many, including Rishi’s (Dikshith Shetty) parents. Rishi is saved by Raghav (Navdeep), a police officer. Both are orphaned and now live together, with Raghav working as a cop.
Rishi is no ordinary person—he has a special power called psychometry. This ability allows him to touch objects and know their past. Raghav uses this power to solve cases as a police officer. The story also introduces Megha (Komali Prasad), whose father, Devi Prasad, was the security guard at Maruti Apartments. He is wrongly blamed for the fire and is now in jail. Megha is determined to prove her father’s innocence and begins searching for clues. Eventually, she meets Rishi at a college, and their bond grows stronger as both are orphans.
Four years later, a similar incident occurs at a hospital, mirroring what happened at Maruti Apartments. Raghav is investigating this new case, and his colleague believes that both cases are connected, suggesting that the killer is extremely clever and always manages to escape. Raghav, Rishi, and Megha decide to team up and capture the killer. Will they succeed in solving this mystery, or will the killer manage to slip away once again? Watch the series to find out.
Strengths of the Show:
The show does an excellent job of building suspense and thriller elements, especially with Rishi’s unique psychometry power. This supernatural ability keeps viewers engaged as they try to understand the connection between the past and present events.
Each episode moves at a fast pace, with constant twists that keep viewers hooked. You won’t feel bored as the story unfolds with new revelations.
The performances of Dikshith Shetty and Navdeep are commendable. Both actors bring depth to their roles, and their acting enhances the overall experience of the show.
The concept of the show is fresh and unique, offering a supernatural angle to the crime-thriller genre that hasn’t been explored much before in Indian web series.
Weaknesses:
While the focus is mainly on Rishi and the killer, the story doesn’t delve much into other aspects, which can sometimes feel a bit odd.
Several questions remain unanswered, such as how and when Rishi’s supernatural powers manifested. The series includes plenty of suspense, but the emotional connection with other characters doesn’t quite develop, making it hard for the audience to fully relate to them.
Conclusion:
Touch Me Not is a treat for fans of thrillers and suspense. The show offers an intense atmosphere filled with mystery, dark murders, and supernatural elements that will keep you on the edge of your seat. While the six episodes released so far are intriguing, there is still much to uncover. The Hindi dubbing quality is top-notch, making it an easy watch for a wide audience. If you’re a fan of crime thrillers with a supernatural twist, this is definitely a series worth watching.
