On March 7, 2025, Emraan Hashmi shared a video on his official Instagram account. The teaser featured a short clip from the original Awarapan, with the soulful song “Toh Phir Aao” playing in the background.
The caption simply said “Jumma Mubarak”. This post created excitement among fans. Some believed it was a hint for Awarapan 2, while others thought it could be a re-release of the original movie.

Official Confirmation of Awarapan 2
Today, on March 24, 2025, Emraan Hashmi surprised his fans again. He shared another video, making an official announcement about Awarapan 2. In the video, Emraan is seen saying:
“Usne kaha tha, ek mazloom ko azaad karne ka matlab, saari insaniyat ko azaad karna… Kisi aur ki zindagi ke liye marna hi meri manzil hai.”
Along with the video, Emraan wrote in the caption:
“Bas mujhe kuch der zinda rakh… Awarapan releases on April 3, 2026.”
Music and Fan Excitement
Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid, who sang the hit songs “Toh Phir Aao” and “Tera Mera Rishta Purana” for the first movie, also reacted to Emraan’s post. He commented, “Toh Phir Aao Bhai”, making fans even more excited.
Awarapan: A Cult Classic Returns
The original Awarapan was released on June 29, 2007. Directed by Mohit Suri, it had music by Pritam and Mustafa Zahid. Though the film did not perform well at the box office, it became a cult classic over time.
Just like the first part, Awarapan 2 will be produced by Mukesh Bhatt. Fans are eager to see if this time, the movie will get the box office success it deserves.
