Choreographer and director Ganesh Acharya recently shared his thoughts on how the Hindi film industry has never given him due credit for his work. However, he praised Allu Arjun for acknowledging his contributions to the Pushpa films. In an interview with Bharti TV, he spoke about the difference in how Bollywood and the South Indian film industry treat their technicians.
Ganesh Acharya On Bollywood’s Lack Of Recognition
Ganesh Acharya mentioned that while he doesn’t blame Bollywood entirely, he believes there is a problem with technicians not receiving enough appreciation. He noted that choreography often changes at the last minute to suit actors, and that the industry is filled with ego.
“There’s a lot of ego in Bollywood. Ego shouldn’t exist,” he stated, pointing out how this mindset prevents many behind-the-scenes artists from being acknowledged for their work.

Allu Arjun’s Appreciation For Ganesh Acharya
Ganesh Acharya highlighted how his experience in the South film industry, especially with Allu Arjun and the Pushpa films, was completely different. He recalled how Allu Arjun personally called him to express gratitude for his choreography, saying:
“Masterji, people appreciate me because of you.”
Ganesh further revealed that Allu Arjun even invited him to a grand success party in Hyderabad, where every crew member was honored for their contributions to the film. “No one in Bollywood has ever called to credit me for their success,” he added.
Ganesh Acharya’s Recent Work
For those unaware, Ganesh Acharya choreographed the hit songs Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava and Daakko Daakko Meka from Pushpa: The Rise. In Pushpa 2: The Rule, he worked on Pushpa Pushpa Pushpa, Gango Renuka Thalli, Kissik, and Sooseki. He has also choreographed songs in upcoming films like Devara: Part 1, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, and Game Changer.
His revelations have sparked a debate about how Bollywood treats its technicians compared to the South Indian film industry.
