Salman Khan Firing Case: Mumbai Crime Branch Arrests Fifth Accused from Rajasthan Who Helped Shooters with Money

Another arrest has been made in the firing case at Salman Khan’s house. Mumbai Crime Branch said on Tuesday, May 7 that they have arrested the 5th accused from Rajasthan. His name is said to be Mohammad Chaudhary. Police have already arrested four people in the case, including both the shooters who opened fire at Galaxy Apartment. One of these four, Anuj Thapan, recently committed suicide in the police lockup itself. The Crime Branch has imposed MCOCA in this case, after which the investigation is progressing rapidly. The Crime Branch has said that Mohammad Chaudhary, arrested from Rajasthan, had a big role in the incident. It is understood that he had provided money to shooters Sagar Pal and Vicky Gupta and also helped in conducting recce. The accused was in direct contact with Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Will appear in court, police will ask for remand

According to the report of news agency ANI, Mumbai Police has confirmed that this fifth arrest has been made in the form of Mohammad Chaudhary. He is a resident of Rajasthan. The accused is being brought from Rajasthan to Mumbai on Tuesday, after which he will appear in the court. The police will demand remand of the accused from the court.

Anup Thapan’s mother filed an application in the High Court

Before this, new allegations have also been leveled against the crime branch in the firing case. The mother of Anuj Thapan, who committed suicide in the lockup, has filed an application in the Bombay High Court. In this he has demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of his son. The mother has alleged that Anuj did not commit suicide but was murdered.

On the other hand, the police say that Anuj Thapan had hanged himself with a piece of bedsheet in the toilet of the lockup. Immediately after this incident, he was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Lookout notice against Anmol Bishnoi

The Crime Branch has made jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and his brother Anmol Bishnoi accused in the Galaxy Apartment firing case. Last month, on April 14, there was firing outside the superstar’s house at 5 am. A few hours later, Anmol took responsibility for the attack by posting on Facebook. Crime Branch has issued a lookout notice against Anmol Bishnoi. The IP address of his social media post is said to be of Portugal.
