The much-awaited film Sikandar has finally been released in cinemas worldwide. Salman Khan’s fans have been eagerly waiting to see if this movie lives up to the expectations. With A.R. Murugadoss as the director and Sajid Nadiadwala as the producer, expectations are naturally high. These two names are known for delivering top-quality films, and Murugadoss himself has written the story of Sikandar.

The movie features an impressive star cast, including Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. Let’s dive into the complete review of Sikandar.

Storyline

We all have heard stories about kings from our grandparents. A king with a golden crown, an army, and a massive empire. Sikandar also tells the story of a king, but in a different way. This king has not won kingdoms, but he has won people’s hearts. He is a king by heart.

The movie starts with a powerful entry scene of Salman Khan. His action-packed introduction reminds us of his iconic role in Wanted. When a movie starts with such a high-energy scene, it immediately grabs the audience’s attention.

The real story begins when Salman Khan’s character, Sanjay Rajput, travels to Mumbai to meet a man named Kamaruddin. But who is Kamaruddin? That’s something you will find out only by watching the film. Without revealing too much, let’s just say that Sikandar is much better than many of Salman’s recent films and is a complete entertainer.

Main Characters

  • Salman Khan plays Sanjay Rajput, a strong and fearless man, lovingly called Sikandar by his grandmother.
  • Prateik Babbar plays the villain, the son of Sathyaraj, who is a powerful Home Minister.
  • Rashmika Mandanna plays Salman’s wife, and her role is much more important than expected.
  • Sharman Joshi and Kajal Aggarwal also play significant supporting roles.

The Conflict Begins

The movie’s conflict starts when Sikandar clashes with Prateik Babbar’s character. At first, it’s just a normal fight, but since Prateik is the son of a powerful minister, things escalate. The story takes a dark turn when the Home Minister decides to take revenge and sends his entire force to kill Sikandar.

Action & Emotional Scenes

Sikandar is not just about action. The movie also has several emotional moments that will touch your heart. Some scenes are so powerful that they might make you cry, especially if you are watching with your loved ones.

The action sequences are intense and over-the-top. One of the most thrilling moments is when Salman fights a group of enemies in a mining area. The background music during these fight scenes elevates the excitement level.

Cinematography & Production

The movie has been shot in real locations, making the visuals more authentic. The cinematography is excellent, with great attention to camera work, lighting, and colors. The high production value is evident in every frame.

Editing & Length

The first half of the film could have been shorter. Some scenes feel stretched, but the editing is decent overall. The use of jump cuts and match cuts makes the action sequences more dynamic. Emotional moments are well-edited with appropriate background music.

Background Score & Music

The BGM (background music) is a strong highlight of the film. From the very first scene, the music enhances the impact of every moment. A good background score should increase the excitement without being too loud, and Sikandar does it perfectly.

Final Verdict: Hit or Miss?

From a fan’s perspective, Sikandar is a great film. Salman Khan shines in his role, and the action scenes are entertaining. However, from a critic’s perspective, the film has some flaws. The screenplay is too fast-paced, jumping from one location to another without proper transitions.

Salman Khan’s character feels a bit outdated, and the VFX work is inconsistent. In some scenes, he looks incredibly fit, while in others, the poor CGI makes him look unnatural.

Despite these flaws, the film is already a commercial success. It recovered its budget before release and is expected to be a box office hit. If you are a Salman Khan fan, you will definitely enjoy it. However, if you are expecting a fresh and unique story, you might be disappointed.
