Veteran actor Sunny Deol is all set to return to the silver screen with a bang. At the age of 67, Sunny is preparing to reprise his iconic role of Tara Singh in Gadar 3. During a recent interview with Pinkvilla, he shared exciting details about the upcoming film, as well as his new movie Jaat.

Speaking about the Gadar series, Sunny revealed his love for the character Tara Singh. He said the character has a special innocence and charm that he relates to deeply. Director Anil Sharma has confirmed that work is in progress on the Gadar 3 script, and the film will go into production once it’s ready.

Success Story of Gadar Franchise
The first Gadar movie was released in 2001 with a budget of just ₹8 crore. It went on to collect over ₹100 crore in India and around ₹132.60 crore worldwide. After 22 years, Gadar 2 was released on August 11, 2023, starring Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur along with Sunny and Ameesha Patel. It was a massive success, collecting over ₹500 crore in India.

Sunny mentioned that after the success of Gadar 2, he is getting many film offers. His next project after Jaat is Lahore 1947, which is produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi.

Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan previously worked together in the 1993 film Darr. Back then, there was tension between the two actors, and they didn’t speak for years after the film’s release.
